Beetlejuice 2: Release Date, Cast, and Everything Else We Know
The highly anticipated sequel to the classic '80s horror-comedy is finally on the way.
After much teasing, Warner Bros. has finally given the world its first look at footage from the long-awaited sequel to "Beetlejuice." The original film, released in 1988, was a critical and commercial success, and fans have been clamoring for a follow-up ever since.
The sequel, titled "Beetlejuice 2," will see the return of Michael Keaton as the titular character, along with Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Geena Davis as Barbara Maitland. The film is directed by Tim Burton, who also directed the original.
The new trailer gives us a glimpse of what we can expect from the sequel. It opens with Lydia Deetz, now an adult, returning to the old Maitland house. She is soon reunited with Beetlejuice, who is as mischievous and chaotic as ever.
The trailer also introduces us to a new character, a young girl named Emily who is being haunted by Beetlejuice. Lydia and Beetlejuice team up to help Emily, and the trailer ends with a thrilling chase scene through the Netherworld.
"Beetlejuice 2" is scheduled to be released on June 7, 2025. Fans of the original film are sure to be excited to see what Burton and Keaton have in store for them.
